Trick Siri Into Using Google Maps

You can “trick” Siri into using Google Maps, instead of Apple Maps.

  • Activate Siri
  • Ask for directions, but end the statement with the phrase “via transit.”

This will force iOS to use an app that offers transit directions (which Apple Maps does not). From there you can select Google Maps as your route provider, and choose your true method of transportation (car, bicycle, etc.).
